Surgical dermatology focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of medically necessary and cosmetic skin conditions that require surgical intervention. Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy involves the use of extreme cold (liquid nitrogen) to freeze and destroy abnormal tissue, such as warts and precancerous growths.

Mohs surgery

Mohs surgery is a specialized surgical method used to remove skin cancer. During Mohs surgery, thin layers of skin are removed one layer at a time and examined under a microscope until cancer cells are no longer found.

Excision

This procedure involves removal of a skin lesion or growth using a surgical knife or scalpel, typically performed under local anesthesia.

 

Scar Revision

This involves the removal or alteration of a scar to improve its appearance. Techniques may include surgical excision, laser treatment, or injections of medication.
